The core questions
1) Which asset is being inspected? 2) What is the inspection objective? 3) How many assets, kilometres, acres or structures? 4) What are the site conditions — operational, energised, offshore, indoor or confined? 5) Which sensors are required? 6) Which deliverables are required? 7) Is engineering, surveying, thermography or NDT review needed? 8) What is the required delivery date? 9) Are there site access, induction or escort requirements? 10) Is visual line of sight sufficient, or is advanced authorisation expected? 11) What insurance limits are required? 12) How must data be stored and transferred? 13) Which systems will receive the output?
Asset-specific details
Solar: capacity, module layout and the thermal standard required. Wind: turbine count, make and model, onshore or offshore and shutdown status. Power lines: length, voltage class, vegetation or LiDAR needs and corridor access. Pipelines: length, leak-sensing needs and right-of-way access. Confined spaces: dimensions, entry opening, atmosphere and GPS availability. Emergencies: hazard status, incident contact and deadline.
